Pfahlbaumuseum Unteruhldingen

Our first stop on the fall break road trip was the Pfahlbaumuseum Unteruhldingen (and no, I can't pronounce it) in Germany, a collection of stilt houses on Lake Constance. They were reconstructions of Bronze Age houses and they were fun to walk around and explore.

Grandpa joined us on this road trip!

We then took a ferry across the lake to Insel Mainau, a giant garden park.

This park had THE coolest kid play area I've ever seen, with a little river with log rafts and climbing toys that are surely banned it the States, which means they are extra fun!

The gardens were spectacular! So many bright, beautiful colors.

Look at all these gourds!

There was a butterfly house where the butterflies were more than happy to land on each of the kids!

Can't remember what they were begging for, but I like the picture!

We drove into town to have dinner and came upon this cute little fountain at a city right on the border with Switzerland. We ate here, then continued on to our air B&B. Next stop, Switzerland!
